Center for Scientific Research and Technological Innovation

  • THE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING SCHOOL IN MEKNES MUST CARRY OUT BOTH COMPLEX AND COMPLEMENTARY RESEARCH ACTIONS :
  • Develop high-level scientific research and ensure innovation and technology transfer,,
  • Train managers to meet the country’s socio-professional needs,
  • Provide quality services to support the socio-professional environment development.

To achieve these research actions, the School must finalize the structuring of scientific research, by creating a center of excellence that is focused on innovation and whose strategic axes are in perfect harmony with both our country's sustainable development guidelines and the University's development project.

The creation of the Centre for Scientific Research and Technological Innovation (CRSIT) is not only within the framework of the School and University strategic vision but also in accordance with the law on the organization of Higher Education and Scientific and Technical Research in Morocco.

The Centre’s Objectives are:
  • • Economy of scale,
  • • Optimizing material and human resources,
  • • Focusing the School's finances on a few visible areas of research in which it excels,
  • • Gathering research teams and labs around strategic areas, broken down into strategically well-defined themes.

In addition, this center must address societal issues and must have the capacity to attract the best PhD students.

Strategic research areas:

The developed strategic research areas within the CRSIT are mainly:
  • Conventional and advanced materials,
  • Mechanical and energy systems,
  • Industrial systems and mechatronics,
  • Modeling and Simulation.

Organization:

The CRSIT is subject to statutes and is daily managed by a management committee, which is supported by a scientific council.
